Our home has always been filled with music - a family tradition that goes back to the 1800’s when Michael’s great-grandfather came from Germany to Mexico as a mining engineer. Family and friends share the joy of the “world’s universal language” wherever and whenever they possibly can...and home is where the music is for my husband and boys! I am honored to lay claim to the graphic work on some of their cd’s
My husband Michael J. Ronstadt and our sons Michael G and Peter D. (Petie) are passionate musicians who all have successful music careers. He plays for enthusiastic audiences around the world and I am thrilled that he is now performing with our sons - a father’s dream come true! Along with outstanding Indiana musician and songwriter - “adopted family member” Josh Hisle, they comprise Ronstadt Generations - representing the multicultural roots that America was founded upon. Their repertoire reaches back to the end of the 19th century while continually looking ahead into the 21st, with a rich innovation of original material alongside traditional Southwestern and Mexican songs. Michael has performed on many other renown artist’s CD’s including his sister - Linda Ronstadt.
For many years my husband toured with the popular Santa Cruz River Band that brought to world audiences the musical treasures of the southwestern United States and Mexico. Before that he performed as one of the Ronstadt Cousins .
Our son Michael G. Ronstadt is truly an innovative cellist who is blazing new paths with his music. “He is bridging the gap between classical and non-classical genres on his cello, guitar and voice through song-writing and composition.” When he is not playing with Ronstadt Generations, it is more than likely he and Josh Hisle (Ronstadt )are touring as the popular duo Lost In Holland. In my son Michael’s spare time (Hah!), he can be found somewhere in the United States, Mexico or Canada - playing or recording solo or with any number of other professional musicians.
My son Peter D. Ronstadt, better known as Petie - is not only an excellent musician performing professionally with Tucson Musical Groups and touring with his father, he’s also a top-shelf recording engineer and producer. He along with partners Sam Eagon and Bryan Matijaysek have Landmark Sound Recorders in Tucson, Arizona.
