Of course everybody knows Louisa May Alcott as the
author of Little Women — loosely based on
her life with her sisters and one of the first books to
speak candidly of women's life. But did you know she was
also part of a boppin' family? Her dad Amos was a
transcendentalist and hung out with Ralph Waldo Emerson and
Henry David Thoreau, while her mom Abigail was a
suffragette and abolitionist.
