Southwestern Scenes

In his travels throughout the American Southwest, Gilbert often found time to paint the beautiful nature around him. His works evoke the subtle shades of the desert landscape, where palo verde and ocotillo trees trace delicate forms among the saguaro and prickly pear, casting their shadows amid the ever-changing light of the dry mountains.
