How to Order

How to place an order

Currently this website is only able to process orders placed from and shipping to U.S. addresses. For European orders please contact maurice@ronstadt.com or call +44 (0) 1745-530048.

U.S. orders are placed here at www.ronstadtdesigns.com. Our online shopping cart makes checkout easy and fast. If you sign up for an account during checkout, your address information (but not your credit card information) will be remembered by our system, relieving you of the need to enter this information in subsequent orders. If you have special requirements for your order, or if you wish to discuss wholesale orders, please contact us.

We cannot accept unsolicited U.S. orders placed through email. In the event that your order needs special handling, please contact us, providing specifics, your email address, and a phone number. We will then contact you by email to answer your questions and arrange your order.

Please do not send credit card numbers or any other secure information through email.



Payment Options

We accept major credit cards through our secure PayPal gateway. Payment is collected offsite by PayPal's secure payment system, after which you may return to our site for more browsing or information. You do not need a PayPal account to pay by this method, although you can use one if you have one. After payment, you will receive from us a confirmation email at the email address you provided during checkout. This email contains full details of your order, including the order number, which is very important should you need to contact us about your order.

While we prefer payments via PayPal (and you will receive your order faster if you use the PayPal method), we also accept payments by check or money orders through the mail. Orders paid by check or money order will be shipped after payment clears (regrettable, but necessary).

Prices are subject to change without notice (in practice this is just in the event of an especially silly typo).



Shipping Methods

At present we offer shipping through the U.S. Postal Service. Our options are First Class Parcel (the least expensive method for orders with a total shipping weight under 13 ounces), Priority Mail (for orders up to 70 pounds in weight), and Express Mail (a considerably more expensive USPS "overnight" option with the same weight and size constraints as Priority Mail). Express Mail, guarantees overnight delivery to most locations. Express Mail is also the only USPS option that provides order tracking.

First Class and Priority Mail will be shipped with Delivery Confirmation and/or Signature Confirmation, depending on the total amount of the order.



Shipping Time

Time from order to delivery is usually a week or less. If you would like to check on your order status, please contact us. Be sure to have your order number ready.



Shipping and Handling Costs

When you are placing your order, the Ronstadt Designs website connects to a U.S. Postal Service computer, where the latest shipping rates are calculated based on weight and destination.

There are two ways you can estimate your shipping charges. On the first Checkout page, above the list of your items, you will see a link called “Get Shipping Quote For This Order”. This leads to a page where you can enter the destination country, state, and zipcode (the zipcode is needed). Clicking the Continue button will display a table of shipping methods and rates. An advantage of this method is that you can put together a trial order and get the shipping fees without having to log in to your account or fill in your address.

The second method is to proceed through Checkout past the address information page. There you will be able to select a shipping method from a pop-up menu, and your total order cost will be calculated and displayed. This is done before moving to the payment page, so you can view your total order cost including shipping charges before paying for the order. You will also still be able to return to shopping or change your order.

We do not charge a handling fee for normal orders



Shipping insurance

Orders over $250 U.S. will be sent by insured mail at our expense.



Returns

In the event that you wake up at 3 in the morning with a sinking feeling that the print you ordered isn't quite the right one, we will exchange (not refund) it once, as long as the item is returned in perfect condition postmarked within one week of your receipt of the order. It is necessary that you contact us before returning a product for exchange. For such exchanges, you will be responsible for shipping costs.



Returning Damaged or Incorrect Merchandise

In the event of damaged or incorrect merchandise, please ship the product back to us within one week of your receipt of the order. If, in our estimation, the product does not match its description as a result of our negligence, we will exchange it without question and refund the shipping costs (we may also commit ritual sepukku, but only after refunding or exchanging your order). If a comparable product cannot be provided, we will refund the full purchase price as well as shipping. It is necessary that you contact us before returning a product.



Back Ordered Products

As most of our items are produced in-house, backorders are not usually a problem. However, in the event that there is a delay expected in filling your order, we will notify you and provide you with an approximate delivery date.



Appearance

There is tremendous variation in the color accuracy of computer monitors, and appearance can be affected by the color of the monitor surround, room light, LCD vs. CRT, consumption of chocolate or cactus tea, and so on. While we make every effort to maintain color accuracy, we cannot guarantee that screen colors on your monitor will exactly match those of our merchandise.
