The San Diego de Pitiquito Mission is a lovely landmark of its Sonoran town. Located in northern Sonora, Pitiquito grew around its mission from a village to a small town of about 5,000. This was one of Father Eusebio Kino's settlements, founded in 1694, and contains many 18th and 19th century paintings.
